At the early age of 12 he succeeded his fater, the commander of one of the Sikh misls controlling a territory west of Punjab.He was also known as Sher-e-Punjab, the Lion of Punjab and is considered one of the 3 Lions of India, the most famous and revered heroes in North Indian history.

Read more...Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa, a great Sikh warrior was born at Gujranwala, Punjab and was the Commander-in-chief of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

If Nalwa had lived, many feel that the British would never have been able to hold or enter the Punjab. He beat the Afghans at Attock Fort and held Afghanistan, something which the British failed to do. Read more...Baba Deep singh was born on the 20th January 1682 A.D. in the village of Pahuwind in district of Amritsar. His father's name was Bhai Bhagtu. He went to Anandpur on the Vaisakhi of 1700 A.D., where after obtaining baptism (into Sikhism) he started learning weaponry and riding from the Sikhs.
